Psyllium (psyllium), best known as plantago psyllium (also called psyllium, psilium) seed husks. Psyllium has almost no taste and is 87% fiber. It is also special because most of them (71%) are soluble fibers, which serve as an excellent food and have a beneficial effect on the intestinal microflora. In comparison, traditional the popular oatmeal and wheat bran contains 62% carbohydrates and 10-15% fiber, of which only 5% is soluble.

Plantain husks are an excellent addition to the KETO diet and low carb diet, because they do not contain carbohydrates, but contain a lot of fiber.

Usage
To use psyllium for health purposes, dilute 1-2 teaspoons of plantain husks in a glass of water, stir and drink immediately before it turns into a gel. It can be used twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. For children aged 6 - 12 years, 1-2 teaspoons 1x a day. Not suitable for small children.
Plantain husks can be added to smoothies, yogurt, porridges and baked goods to increase fiber intake.
When using psyllium, it is imperative to increase water consumption!
